While driving to the largest home-brew competition in the world, Dan Larkin's newest IPA explodes in the trunk, leaving him stranded in Palm Springs. As luck would have it, his Aunt lives in a nearby retirement community and offers to let him stay while his car is fixed. But his brief layover is complicated when his aunt is arrested for murdering one of the most prolific residents of Leisure Vista. With some time to kill and a new beer to brew, Dan begin to dig into the mystery of his Aunts arrest and uncovers a murderous scandal at the heart of the retirement community.
