Zane and Gray are taking a cross country road trip, in hopes of repairing their fractured friendship. But when a dying man bequeaths to them a mysterious device, their trip and lives take a wild turn.

 

With the help of a inscrutable mechanic who knows more than she lets on, Zane and Gray must put aside their past differences to help protect a centuries old secret from a dangerous scientist, hell-bent on destruction.

 

In the end, this unlikely trio is all that stands between us and the end of modern civilization.
